07/11/2008 - The last few months
As you can see I have not really kept on top of keeping this up to date, but to be fair I have been pretty busy. After fashion week I
had a couple of weeks off, then went out to Dubai for pretty much all of October to work with 3db. We had a busy month working on a lot of
different conferences and award shows. All went well and it was a bit of a shock to return back to a distinctly cold and wintery Britain.
Back into the swing of things now though and just finished working alongside Graham Feast and Andy Keightley on the cosmopolitain awards.

18/09/2008 - A Small Update
Seem to have been a little slack at updating this recently so here we go. After New Wine I travelled up to Lincoln with Willy Coster
to help Phil White put a rig into a big top on Lincoln Show ground for the Grapevine festival and then took it back out again.
After Grapevine went over to Finland for a weeks holiday, then straight back into the London Fashion week fringe events working with
Entec which I think brings us all nicely up to date.

|
11/08/2008 - New Wine Load Out
Headed back to Shepton Mallet to take out all the gear we had put in a few weeks earlier. Pretty much just a load out so not much to
say really, but it was nice to catch up with some of the guys from Wigwam Acoustics who were looking after the noise and production around
the site.

|
|
|
07/08/2008 - 10/08/2008 - Here and Now, Ascot
Working alongside Niall Hannel and AFG for Entec to put in a small lighting rig for a post races party for the Here and Now Show.
We put in a 32' front truss with 6 2K Fresnels, 2 4-Lite molefays and 4 PixelLines. Instead of a rear truss Niall opted for 4 3M upright
trusses each holding a Mac250+, 2 PixelLines and a Bar of 4 Par 64's.
The gear all went in smoothly and the show seemed to go down well with the crowd that had gathered not even the rain could put a dampner
on their spirits.

04/08/2008 - Busy Times
Well its been pretty busy again and I haven't really had time to keep up to date on what I have been up to. So instead of trying to remember individual
details of everything I shall use the format of a list to enlighten you as to where I have been and what I have been up to.
17th - 20th July - Jools Holland, Killerton House, Exeter
21st - 24th July - New Wine South Main Venue Load In, Shepton Mallet
25th - 27th July - The Australian Pink Floyd Show, Scarbourgh and Liverpool
1st - 3rd August - Jools Holland, Godalming and Slough

|
|
14/07/2008 - 16/07/2008 - Liverpool Pops
As we were nearby Entec asked me, Gaddy and Phil if we could head on up to Liverpool to give Peter and Simon a hand to take the Summer Pops rig out
so that the Def Leppard boys had a clean canvas to squeeze their rig into the Echo arena. Then put it all back in and get it working again after the gig.

|
10/07/2008 - 13/07/2008 - Quarry Park Festival, Shrewsbury
Working with Phil White and Gaddy for Entec on a really nice and relaxed festival in Shrewsbury. We travelled up to Shrewsbury and loaded in on
Thursday afternoon. The rig consisted of three trusses, the back truss consisted of two bars of 6 Par 64's and 4 Mac 700 Spots along with some blacks
hanging off the back. The mid truss had 4 bars of Par 64's, 4 Mac 700 Spots and 4 Mac 250 Washes, and the front truss had 3 bars of Par 64's,
6 Source 4's, 4 Mac 250 Washes and 6 2-Lite Molefays.
With the rig foccused and ready to go it was a case of relaxing and enjoying the weekend with a few focus tweaks each day to the Source 4's. A good
weekend was finished off with a good lineup with Katie Melua, Midge Ure, Bananarama, Toyah, New Pony Club, Holloways and Mystery Jets all putting in
apperances at various points over the weekend.

|
03/07/2008 - 06/07/2008 - Silverstone After Party
Working alongside Cathy Stewart for Entec to provide the lighting system for the gig at the end of the British Grand Prix. We flew two trusses
the back truss had 5 bars of 6 Par 64's and 5 Pixelline 1044's. With the front truss having a further 5 Pixel Lines, 4 Mac700's, 4 2K Fresnels and
2 4-Lite Molefays. There was also 4 Mac 700's on the floor. The load in was dispatched in time for a spot of lunch.

|
30/06/2008 - 01/07/2008 - Woolworths Christmas Showcase
Another small gig with Justin and Steve from Spirit Design, this time providing three trusses of lighting for the Woolworths christmas stock
showcase near Marylebone in London. Two very nice days spent focusing, tidying up and finishing off any little bits and pieces that needed to be
done.

25/06/2008 - IPAF Training
I am now officially IPAF certified for Scissor lifts and cherry pickers after spending a day doing the official training course.

|
24/06/2008 - Sigur Ros, Westminster
Went along to Westminster Central Hall to provide the flown lighting system to supplement Lite Alternatives touring ground system for a one off
gig to launch Sigur Ros latest album. We put in a 40' back truss with 5 Martin TW1, and 6 drop bars of varying lengths which each had a MAc700, Atomic
Strobe and 2-lite on them.
Due to the nature of the venue it was not possible to fly a front truss so we had to make to with two 3m 12" trusses stood on end with 6 Source 4's
and a 2K Fresnel on each one. With all our gear in the Lite Alt guys finished off the floor stuff and everyone enjoyed a really good gig.
I have put up a few photos in the media section that you can have a look at.

|
20/06/2008 - 22/06/2008 - Australian Pink Floyd
Joined up with Gaddy and Phil White to do three gigs for the Australian Pink Floyd show visiting Doncaster Dome, Grimsby Auditorium and St Albans
Arena. I was looking after dimmers and moving lights. As the venues were smaller than the guys normally play we were touring the 'B' rig, which consits
of three straight trusses with a handful of Varilite 2402's and Mac250 washes along with some source 4's and 2 lite Molefays.
|
|
|
|
11/06/2008 - Sail for Gold Ball
Another gig with Nick Knowles from Spirit Design this time looking after dimmers and racks for the Sail for Gold Ball at the Park Lane
Hilton. Was a pretty straight forward rig with a couple of trusses of fresnels, source 4's and Pars for the stage along with a handful of
movers. And two more trusses of movers and parcans for the dance floor. All finished off with some 1K Codas to provide a nice house light.
|
|
|
|
04/06/2008 - 07/06/2008 - Camden Roundhouse
Headed over to the Camden Roundhouse with Mikeyray and Chris Bidulph to put some lighting in for a private birthday bash going on there.

|
29/05/2008 - 02/06/2008 - Bucharestifest, Romania
This was a gig with a bit of a difference I headed out to Bucharest with some of the guys from Wigwam to help on a two day festival.
We were there to work alongside the local guys from Omnitech to make sure everything happened on time and to look after the sound, lighting
and stage management during the festival itself. Omnitech had provided a stage and roof system with 24 moving heads from JB Lighting
(10 washes and 14 Spots) along with a few bars of 6 and a hazer all being run from a Avo Sapphire. On the noise side they brought along 2 hangs
of Adamson Y10 (10 boxes each side) and 4 Spextrix as downfills with a PM5-D out front and a M7CL for monitors.
Once a few teething problems of gear being in the wrong place at the wrong time were sorted out and we had got used to the Romanian ways it
was pretty much plain sailing and straight forward, and the two days of gigs ran smoothly from start to end. To top it all off we enjoyed some
really great weather and some good music and everyone went home happy.
There are some pictures in the media section if you like looking at such things.

|
19/05/2008 - New Media Photo Gallery
Have spent a little time sprucing up the media section by adding a new style photo viewer to the system. The new one is much
prettier to look at and is easier to view all the photos in an album with. P.S once you are in and album you can use the left and
right arrow keys to move through the photos as well as click on the Next and Prev links that appear when you hover over the photo.
Hope you enjoy it.

|
|
|
16/05/2008 - Google Zeitgeist Conference
I headed over to Watford to help the guys put in some infrastructure cabling for site lighting and other odds and ends.

|
|
|
15/05/2008 - ngm Training Day 2
Back over to see the guys at Bristol and spend another day with the interns this time looking at balancing three phase loads, looking after
lights and how to read lighting plots.
|
|
|
|
14/05/2008 - The Serco Pulse Awards, London
Went along to help out the guys get the rig up and working the day before the show. Was a bit of a long day chasing dodgy DMX leads and
broken units out of the rig, most of it spent getting hot and sweaty up a truss or access tower. Eventually we got rid of all the nasty little
gremlins and we could all get out of there.
|
|
|
|
12/05/2008 - Sony Radio Academy Awards, London
Working in the Grosvernor House Hotel to put in a small lighting rig to compliment the in house setup and to provide mains distrobution
for the guys from QED Productions for their HD Video Projectors. All went well and the gig was in and waiting to go in now time, a lot of book
reading later it was ready to come back out again and time to go home to bed.
|
|
|
|
9/05/2008 - The RD Crusaders, London
Back home and recovering from yesterdays gig. We started the loadin at 6am at Old Billingsgate Market and all went pretty smoothly and
according to plan apart from the Hog iPC deciding it didn't want to work. Other than that everything worked and all went well. Once all the
gear was in (3 trucks worth consisting of anything Entec had left in the warehouse Martin Mac 250+, 300 and 700's, Varilite 2K Spots and washes,
City colours and of course the normal host of generics) it was down to Roger Daltrey, Mark Ronson, Lulu and a host of others to entertian the
crowd and make some serious cash for the charities they support.

|
|
|
24/04/2008 - Lighting Training Day 1, Bristol
Was down at ngm in Bristol today taking some time out to train their new interns in the basics of lighting, had a really good day with
the guys there and covered quite a lot of ground starting with a basic system overview and getting on to how to use a Avolites Pearl.
It was a really fun day and was good to see some old faces from that part of the world.
|
|
|
|
19/04/2008 - LOLER and PUWER Training
Well I had a very nice little trip down to see the boys at Entec and spend the day with them and Chris Higgs from Total looking into some of the
LOLER and PUWER regulations and learning a bit about inspecting equipment. All went well and we had a bit of a laugh at the same time.

|
|
|
13/04/2008 - 18/04/2008 - BP AGM, London
Well just back from the ExCeL centre in London where I have been working with a few of the guys from Bubbles Lighting looking after the mains
requirements for the BP AGM. It was a very nice little job really with 9 rising mains from the house to look after and distribute around the place
and also looking after emergency lighting and exit signs. All went very smoothly and a good time was had by all.

|
28/03/2008 - On The Buses
This was quite a strange day as gigs go. Me and Strat headed off to Golder's Green to look after a little gig for audiomsg. The basic aim of
the day was to put 3 small PA's run by a little generator onto three open top buses at various locations along the Golder's Green road and make
sure they kept working all day long. The gig itself was very simple and the hardest part of the day was getting the speakers up the narrow stairs
of a double decker bus. Once all the PA's were up and running it was a case of making sure all the genny's had fuel and kept running.
The whole gig was to celebrate Purim and there were people dressed up in all kinds of random costumes stopping the traffic and causing mayhem
whilst collecting money for traffic, with the gig done it was a simple case of packing down the three systems chucking them on the van and heading
back home for a well deserved beer.

|
|
13/03/2008 - Hampstead Theatre Spring Gala
This was a nice little gig at Lords Cricket Club, in a permenant tent structure. We had to dead hang three truss across the beams and then
hang a whole heap of Source 4's (some with scrollers) of them. Due to the weight loading restrictions of the structure hanging movers was not
possible so that was looked after by using some 6' Truss Towers each with two Mac700's and a City Colour on top. With the gig all installed
nicely and ready to go it was a case of relaxing until the end and ripping it all back out again.

|
06/03/2008 - 07/03/2008 - MA Training
Just back from a very nice few days down in Queen's Park with Simon from MA Lighting learning how to use the GrandMA. It seemed like quite a
mission at the start of the time because the desk is so flexible and can be setup in so many different ways but after an hour or so I was begining
to get to grips with it all. So after two days I am pretty good at finding my way round the desk and getting it up and running....sadly still not
a programming god but hey you can only ask for so much!!
A massive thanks to Simon and Richard at MA for all their help.

|
28/02/2008 -03/03/2008 - Tigi Hair Awards
Working with Neil Trenell, Simon Honnor, Sudip and Ryan from Entec to put two rigs into the Grosvernor House Hotel on park lane. Other than
having to eat the dreadful food provided in the staff canteen this gig was very straight forward the main room we added 20 Vari Lite 2k's to
supplement the house rig. Along with a few hazers and some iPix Satelittes and PixelLines. Neil did a great job on the Diamond 4 and the show went
without a hitch and looked fantastic.
In the party room we added another 6 VariLite 2K's, 4 Martin Mac 700's, 8 Pixel lines and 12 iPix Satellites to supplement the 20 Par cans on
the house rig. Then it was just a case of sitting back and waiting for the show to finish and take it all back out again.

|
24/02/2008 - WSPA Stand Up For Animals
A nice little gig at Hammersmith Appollo working alongside Niall Hannel as LD and Leo Tierney sorting out the rigging. It was a stand up
comedy night to raise money for the WSPA charity. We put in a simple rig of a 52' front truss with 6 bars of 6 Par64's and 6 Source 4's, and
a 40' back truss with a 40' Rosco Video Screen, 2 10' Starcloths bordering the screen and 6 Bars of 6 Par 64's. The rig was a straight forward
affair and was up in the air and focussed in time to catch the Tottenham v Chelsea Carling Cup over a bit of food, then back to it for the
rehersals. The gig was a great success and a good night was had by all.

|
13/02/2008 -15/02/2008 - Julien McDonald Fashion Show
With the Speedo launch out the way it was onto the next gig of the wonderful London Fashion Week, which was also thankfully to be the last
one of this particulary stint. So after a few days of getting it already to roll in the Entec warehouse it was off into the Park Lane Hilton to
get the show done and dusted. The rig was pretty small as most of the lighting work on this one is covered by six follow spots, 4 out front and
two to provide the back light. The rest of the rig consited of 4 Source 4 Zooms to light the logo's, and 18 VariLite 2K Spots to provide some
atmosphere to the pre show looks. The whole rig went in with little stress and worry and everything went smoothly and to plan and we took it all
back down and went home for a little rest.

|
06/02/2008 - 12/02/2008 - Speedo Product Launch
An interesting little gig in the German Gym next to St. Pancras, to promote the launch of Speedo's new olympic swimming suit. We had very
little gear on this gig as the main show was using Hologram Projection and the lighting was put very much on the back seat. We had one truss
with 8 Source 4 Zooms, 6 650w Fresnels and 8 1k Fresnels. Along with 8 Mac700's that finished the main room. Thats pretty much all that can be
said.
Outside the main room we had a few bits and pieces to put up in the reception room we had 40 Deco Par Uplighters, 3 Source 4's with Gobos and
a 3m truss circle with white screen for video projection. Then downstairs on the entrance we had 24 Chroma Strips, another 6 Source 4's with Gobos
and some lovely rope lights. Long days and hard work mainly thanks to someone miss booking to local crew, other than that total fun was had by all
involved.

|
|
|
29/01/2008 - 31/01/2008 - Sky Conference
Another early start to get down to the Gilette Building in Brentford for a 8am load in with Nick Knowles and Danny Evans from Spirit Design.
The gig itself was very straight forward with three rooms to kit out. The main room had four straight trusses with a side truss each end of the
room. There were a load of Source 4's, 1k floods, 1k fresnels and Martin Mac600's. The breakout room had a square truss with 16 bars of 6 Par 64's.
The reception room had no truss and took a little longer to rig the lights on to scaff pipe grav locked to the beams in the roof. There were
30 SL's with iPro acetate projectors, 16 Palco3's, 8 Vari*Lite VL2000's and a smattering of 1k floods for room lighting. The rest of the floor
lighting consisted of 300W HQI lamps uplighting various
features around the factory.
Once the gear was all in it was a case of sitting back and fitting off the cold in the dimmer room until it was time to take it all back out
again and head home.

26/01/2008 - New Photos
Still a little slack on updating the site...mainly due to a lack of broadband which is due to be resolved in the very near
future. Hopefully! However, I have managed to get round to putting some new photos up in the media section so pop along and check
out some holiday snaps of the honeymoon in St. Lucia and some photos of Carter the Unstoppable Sex Machines farewell tour from
Brixton Academy. Go on do it now!

|
13/01/2008 - 17/01/2008 - Legal and General Conference
To be honest I am not really sure what this conference was about but I can tell you it was outdoors in a Marque. This was a
little job for Justin Adams of Spirit Design and involved putting in three trusses for house lighting, and a few trusses for stage
lighting. Along with a few bits of site and safety lighting. It didn't take long to get it all up in the air and working. Once it
was focussed that was pretty much it and so a few days later we took it all back down and packed it away again.

11/01/2008 - NEC Hall 2 Load Out
Well it was the first job of the new year and it was a nice easy one. Universal Live were short a man to help them take a gig
out of Hall 2 up at the Birmingham NEC and they asked if I would do it. I said yes and so there I was at 8am with the Show Crew
having taken most of the gear out of the roof the day before. So after tidying up the remaining bits and get the trucks loadeed and
on their way we were done and on our way home by midday, which was all very nice.

24/12/2007 - Happy Christmas
Well its that time of year so I hope you have a good Christmas and a even better New Year. BT seem to have sorted their act out now so hopefully in Jan we should finally
have broadband again, which means I have no excuse for not updating this more regularly.

|
06/09/2007 - 15/12/2007 - Busy Times
As you can see it's been quite a while since I updated the site and now I am going to drop in an all encompassing news item that brings you bang up to date with how
I have been amusing myself over the last few months (mainly because I can't remember the details from so far back!). I am still waiting for BT to sort their act out and
allow me to have broadband so updates will be sparse until that happens which could be some time!.
I thought the easiest way of bringing you up to speed would be some kind of list detailing everything I have been up to so here goes.
- 6th Sept 2007 - MA Lighting Stand at Plasa 07 Earls Court 1
- 7th Sept 2007 - Moved house - still in Bicester just round the corner from the old one.

up and running as soon as I can.

29/08/2007 - Faenol Festival Fun
I am now back home after eight days in a field near Bangor in North West Wales. The festival itself ran over fou days over the August Bank Holiday weekend and was a
very ecclectic mix of music stretching from Pop to Opera. The first night saw Girls Aloud, Jamelia and Shane Ward, the second night was an opera gala, the third night was
a celebration of songs from the musicals featuring Micheal Ball and the last night was wrapped up by a selection of Welsh speaking rock bands.
Martyn Rourke was the LD on the show and Svend Pederson came along to look after all the LED visuals, with the crew made up of James Gould, Paul Sadler,
Lottie Smith, Lee Farrell and myself. Martyn had specified a large main rig contain around 80 Robe moving heads, 30 PixelLines, 25 PixelPars, 7 Bars of Par64's,
30 Molefay 2-lites, and a whole load of Arri 2k's. The Orbit eye brow was rigged with 3 bars of Par64's,4 Source 4 Zooms and 4 Molefay 4 Lites. To round of the stage end
4 Molefay 8 -lites were added to the PA Towers. There were also 8 Robe 700 Washes, 2 Bars of Par64's and 4 Molefay 4-lites.
The rig went up with out too many hitches and only a few delays off waiting for trucks to arrive with gear, once up and focussed we set to work on getting the floor
lighting sorted, which consisted of 10 Robe 700 spots, 12 Par64's, and 120 iTiles. Lee was along to look after making sure the iTiles went up smoothly and mapping the
panels correctly. The tiles went in quicker than expected and without to much hassle, and it has to be said looked fantastic both on TV and in the flesh. Once up and
running there were very few issues other than the massive change overs required to turn the setup from pop to opera and then back to rock with only 1 of the Robe Washes
needing attention over the weekend.
All in all fun was had by all and many memories of watching the amazing fireworks that concluded each evening, and the good times will stay as a memory for some time
to come. There are a few photos in the media section.

31/07/2007 - Wet Weather and Festivals
Finally back from the wet festivals and enjoying being back in the dry and in a proper bed! I have added some photos on the media page to show you what I have been up to
so have a look if you are into that kind of thing. I am off to Vaynol festival in North Wales at the end of August which is looking like it should be a good gig, with
Martyn Rourke as LD and Paul, James and Lottie making up the crew. Will let you know how it all went on the otherside.

14/07/2007 - New Wine North
Well its the time of year to head back off to Newark again. Going to be up there till the end of July as main venue lighting tech. Looks like it should all be very
straight forward again this year. We had 2 trusses with very little lighting making up a very typical simple but effective conference look. The front truss consisted of
16 1k Fresnels, with a 5 source 4 Zooms to take care of the gobos and lighting the sign language people. On the back truss we had 4 bars of 6 to provide a nice colour wash
all finished off with 6 4-way ground rows to light the white tab provided.
There are some photos in the media section so please feel free to have a look.

09/07/2007 - Beaulieu Summer Pops 2007
Just got back in after a long weekend down at Beaulieu in Hampshire. A slightly odd line up for the weekend with The Australian Pink Floydd Show on Friday night, Girls
Aloud on Saturday night and Jools Holland on the Sunday night. The load in was made almost unbearably long, slow and tedious by horrendous weather and the crazy amount of
extra gear that the Pink Floydd show decided it would be a good idea to add into the rig.
The main rig was pretty straight forward, we had 3 60' trusses (FOH, mid and back) along with a rear tab truss. The main trusses consisted of a mix of Par 64 (CP62) 6
way bars for any upstage lighting and Par 64 (#2) for any downstage lighting, 12 Source 4's on the front truss, and a scattering of ACL bars, a handful of Varilite 2k and
2500's finsihed off the main rig. This was complemented with two Trooper and three Lycian follow spots. Simon Tutchener was LD for the show and also looked after front of
house baby sitting duties for the visiting LD's (including our old friend Simon Honnor for Jools and Phil White for Aussie Floyd).
After a hard load in the rest of the event went smoothly and to plan and to make things even better the weather also managed a little sunshine for us. For some photos
check out the media section.

27/06/2007 - Anita Baker
Was working in the Royal Albert Hall with Sudip and Simon yesterday, hanging a nice little rig for Anita Baker, we used house trusses to make it all go easier,
the american LD had specifed two trusses of double hung parcans front and back of stage and a mid truss with 5 VL2500's. The whole rig was finished off with various
tab tracks and starcloths for reveals and the like.

|
24/06/2007 - Jools Holland
A little trip down past Gatwick somewhere to get the truss built and flying in an orbit stage in the middle of nowhere. The truss was essential 30' wide with a hinge
a third of the way along the truss to allow better trim height from it all. we didnt get quite as far as we would have liked due to running out of light but the trusses
were all floating ready for the lights to go on the next day. Mr Paul Sadler then kindly took over to work with Sudip to get the gig done and dusted and back onto the truck.
Sadly i didn't get to see any off the gig but I am told it looked great and was a real success.

14/06/2007 - Let It Rock
Just back from the Vivienne Westwood product launch for her latest perfume "Let It Rock" on the HMS President in London. It was a simple little gig, apart from the
fact that the wiring on the boat was a little outdated to say the least. Once the electrical issues were resolved, we installed around half a kilometre of festoon lighting
around the outside of the boat, and kitted out the ballroom for the press conference and evening party.
Simon Honour was the lighting designer and he specified 12 Mac250+, 4 bars of Par64's, 6 Source 4 Pars, 6 2K Fresnels, a few 1K Fresnels and a handful of
sound to light units for the main room, along with some additional lighting for photography in various areas around the boat. He finsihed off the design by
adding 12 External Parcans to light the Thames in Zenith blue and a couple of City Colours to light the wooden moorings.

14/06/2007 - New Site
I have just released an updated version of my site, I have tried to carry over a few touches
from the last site but after five years it was time for a neaten up and making it look a little more modern. I hope you enjoy it!

05/06/2007 - Paul McCartney
Off to London for the next few days to work on an intimate gathering at the Camden Electric
Ballroom to promote McCartneys latest album. Should be interesting as its not the biggest of venues!
We are putting in a back truss (on manfrottos) with 6 MAc250 EnTours, and some black tab. Then using the house trusses to hang 10 Source 4's, 6 Par64's and
some Mac250 Washes.

01/06/2007 - Urdd Eisteddfod
Back home again after 19 days in a Welsh field. We all had a good time over in Camarthen
and the whole gig was a great success. We installed a ground support truss with a mixture of Robe 1200 Spots, Robe 700 Washes, Vari-lite VL1000's, Pulsar
Chroma Strips, Arri 2K fresnels, Source 4's and some 4 lite Molefays. All the competitions and shows were recorded for S4C TV and some of the shows went
out live.
Special mention has to go to the Baltic Inn Hotel in Pont Henri, which it has to be said made the whole experience much more enjoyable. And with LD Martyn Rourke,
Paul Sadler and Stratty around the good times were never far away.

04/05/2007 - Ultimate Events & Louder
Two gigs over the bank holiday weekend, both using the same gear although each
with a different line up and different venues.
The first gig was at Alton Towers in the car park, our bus arrived on Friday afternoon and the star stages boys had been busy and got the stage up and
ready to go. So after a quick bite to eat we were straight into it. The setup was pretty simple really two 40' trusses. The front truss had 4 x 6 way bars
with a smattering of source 4's and fresnels. The back truss was a little more interesting with the addition of a handful of movers (Mac600's and Mac700's)
and some Pixellines.
The back truss also had 6 drop bars of varying lengths and two trusses hung horizontally one under the other underneath the main truss carrying more movers,
pixels and some good old 4lite molefays.
After a bit of experimenting with the best way to get the whole thing in the air we eventually got it all up and ready to go. Dave got a few hours of
programming in and then it was back to the bus for a good nights sleep before getting back into it on Saturday morning. After a quick focus and tidy up it
was all ready and the gig went without a hitch. So we took all the gear out and went to bed, ready to travel back to the Royal Albert Hall on Sunday and do
the whole thing all over again on Monday! Monday went as planned and we all went home.

07/03/2007 - Nine Inch Nails, Brixton
I got a call asking if I could stand in for a member of the touring crew who
had to have some time off due to illness. So I meet up with the touring crew at Brixton academy and looked after their moving heads for the gig. I was also
roped into running around on stage with a strobe for one number.
All in all quite a strange gig, which had a very simple flying rig which was up in no time. Then all the floor stuff had to be bolted down to the floor
so the band couldn't kick/smash/generally destroy the lighting rig during the show.
