From an early age Sven got involved in the technical side of events helping out with sound and lighting for school productions, local amateur theatres, youth groups and occasionally working for small local PA and lighting companies. After successfully completing GCSEs and A-Levels Sven moved on to study Multimedia Computing and Video Production at the London College of Music and media and graduated with a 2:1 BSc Hons in July 2002.

In September 2002 he joined New Generation Music (ngm) to work with the new media team producing web sites and videos. During this time “filtered” was formed along with a colleague and provided live visuals at several club nights in and around Bristol.

After two years in the new media team Sven took on the responsibility as Technical Manager of the three million pound arts complex consisting of a 250 person capacity performance venue, three rehearsal rooms, two recording studios, a dance studio and new media suite. He was also responsible for the team of six engineers that worked at the facility. During Sven’s spell as technical manager, ngm produced and toured the UK with the musical “luv esther”. He was heavily involved in pre-production, purchasing equipment, training and rehearsals and was crew chief and lighting operator for the first two years of the tour.

In the summer of 2006 Sven left ngm and went freelance. Since setting out as a freelancer he has worked on a wide range of events around the world, working on many projects in different roles and venues ranging from historic buildings to arenas.

Over the years Sven has developed skills and experience in dimmers, media servers, desk programming and operating, design and AutoCAD and 3D visualisation mostly using Capture.
